Exercise - Welcome Students with their First Voice Email
- Give the email a subject line of, "Visit your new and improved Blackboard course!"
- Make a lively recording inviting students to try the new Voice Tools that have been added to Blackboard.
- Type a message with instructions on how to get to the course and play your message.
- Send the message on its merry way.
Exercise - Spark Dialogue Between Students with a Suggestion Board
- Name the board, "Course Feedback Voice Board."
- Describe this Board via text. Inform students it is their sounding board for suggestions on how to improve class, and provide their thoughts on how the semester is going.
- View the most recent messages at the top of the Board.
- Allow students to see each other's messages and start a new thread.
- Limit recording time to 1 minute.
- Post the first message. Include a vocal synopsis of the Board's purpose, as well as text on how to use the features of the Board.
