NetSpot's objective for Moodle services is to help institutions reach their own goals for research, teaching and learning by managing Moodle as an enterprise application through a co-sourcing model.

NetSpot has established application management practices that are tailored for Moodle. The NetSpot Managed Hosting service enables rapid deployment of a proven enterprise level Moodle environment that is highly available and robust. NetSpot provides managed hosting (on AARNet) for over 650,000 students.

As a Moodle Partner, we offer a full suite of consulting services in addition to application management including integration, development, content migration,
customisation, training, technical support and end-user (academic and student) help-desk. For existing users of Moodle, NetSpot also offers a comprehensive upgrade
service from Moodle 1.9 to 2.x addressing themes, integrations and change management.

Our talented team have developed custom enhancements to Moodle as a result of project engagements with our Higher Education clients and additionally have adopted a number of 3rd party Moodle plugins following client commissioned reviews. NetSpot offers its clients ongoing support for a range of custom Moodle enhancements as part of our higher education Moodle platform.

NetSpot works as an active partner with our educational clients to provide both services and access to specialist skills and experience. We do this under the direction of your project sponsors and staff who have strategic management responsibility, and
even in collaboration with your own developers, trainers and other project staff, forming the basis for a true partnership.

Enterprise Moodle

This enterprise-level co-sourced service approach, combined with the variety of patches, plugins and enhancements to Moodle (which NetSpot supports for large learning institutions) results in a mature, flexible and education specific configuration of Moodle.

NetSpot prides itself on working with our clients and supporting them with using Open Source software. In 2010, NetSpot established the NetSpot Client Community site. The Client Community site was established to provide a resource where clients could benefit from connecting with each other, particularly during implementation projects. The aim of the NetSpot Client Community is to provide a space for NetSpot clients to collaborate, problem solve and to share tips, hints and resources with each other. Find out more about the Client Community.

In addition, to support the open source community and Moodle development, the NetSpot Innovation Fund was set up. The purpose of the fund is to provide longevity and a viable distribution and support model for emerging eLearning innovations which demonstrate relevance and acceptance within the Tertiary Education sector.
